The Upper School has installed appropriate filters at the points of use within the school, and received clean reports allowing safe use of water at the Upper School.

Precautionary Measures still in place at the Lower School

1. Alternative drinking water will be available onsite.
   We have arranged for drinking water to be brought in for students, faculty, and staff. It will be delivered and available before school begins on Thursday. We will continue to provide drinking water from an alternative source until testing confirms that the water available on-site meets applicable North Carolina drinking water standards.
2. Drinking fountains and faucets will not be used for drinking.
   Out of an abundance of caution, we will block off all drinking fountains and clearly mark sinks, faucets, and other water sources as not for drinking until further notice.
3. We are working with the appropriate agencies.
   We have notified our public water utility and are working with them and state officials to understand the test results, conduct appropriate follow-up testing, and determine longer-term solutions.
