It is an exciting time to be a Heron.
Hawbridge has an active and growing athletics program that gives students opportunities to develop skills, confidence, teamwork, and school spirit through interscholastic competition.
Conference Affiliations
Hawbridge High School teams compete in the Central Tar Heel 1A Conference as members of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association. Middle School teams compete in the Alamance County-based Piedmont Middle School Athletic Conference.
Hawbridge plays its home basketball games in the newly renovated Eli Whitney Community Center. The historic Eli Whitney Gym offers an intimate and lively hometown atmosphere for Heron players and fans.
Hawbridge runners have access to an on-campus course and several nearby Alamance County Parks and Recreation trails within walking distance of campus, including the Saxapahaw Island Park and the Saxapahaw Haw River Trail.
The courses provide varied elevations and surfaces, including single-track trails and open grassy areas that support a wide range of training needs.
Home soccer games are played at Mebane Community Park. The regulation turf-field complex is affiliated with the Mebane Parks and Recreation Department and the Mebane Youth Soccer Association.
Hawbridge volleyball matches are played in the on-campus Hawbridge Gym. Strong student, family, and community attendance creates an energetic home-court atmosphere for Heron teams.
High School
Hawbridge High School competes as a member of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association.
