We want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your patience as we work through this challenging time. So many of you have offered support and services to help as we transition to digital teaching and learning.
Teachers are taking this week to design lesson plans that can be effectively implemented through the Google Classroom platform that our students are already accustomed to. Loaner computers are being distributed to families that designated the need for one or more computers for their students(s). Digital teaching and learning is expected to begin on Tuesday, March 24.
Please encourage your students to log into google classroom for each of their classes, beginning on Tuesday, to participate in virtual learning. We understand the concerns regarding insufficient and sometimes unreliable wifi in many homes. Teachers have been asked to limit the number of lessons that will require streaming of lengthy videos.
While this is certainly a less than ideal way to provide instruction, students should log in daily and be working from home.
In the event that you need wifi in your home, please contact Spectrum at 1-844-488-8395 to enroll your household. This service is free of charge for 60 days.
As we receive information from the Governor’s Office, we will pass this information on to you.
