The Hawbridge Players are excited to announce the spring production of The Wizard of Oz.

The Wizard of Oz is a musical version adapted by John Kane for the Royal Shakespeare Company, and based on the novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, written by L. Frank Baum in 1900. The story became popular world wide due to the movie release in 1939 winning three academy awards and a nomination for Best Picture of the Year.Ā

This modern day fairytale centers around a young Kansas farm girl, Dorothy, who gets swept up in a cyclone landing her in the magical land of Oz. She continues on an imaginative journey of adventure, fantasy and friendship as she finds her way back home.Ā
