Advanced Placement Exams: Students who take an AP course at The Hawbridge School or through NC Virtual Public School will take the AP exam free of charge. The College Board determines the exact date and time of each exam but they are usually during the first two full weeks of May.
EOGs: The Hawbridge School is required to administer end-of-grade tests for 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades. These tests must be administered during the final ten instructional days of the school year. All grades take an EOG in reading and math. 5th and 8th grades take an additional test in science.
EOCs: The Hawbridge School is required to administer end-of-course tests for Biology, English II, Math I, and Math III. These tests must be administered during the final five instructional days of the school year.
NCFE: “Beginning with the 2020-2021 school year, the State Board of Education shall eliminate the use of the NC Final Exam as part of the statewide testing program to assess teacher performance and professional growth. The NC Final Exam shall not be administered as part of the statewide testing program for any other purpose.” (For more information, see “The Testing Reduction Act of 2019.”)
The Hawbridge School does not administer the SAT. For SAT dates, please visit the College Board website.
