Place-Based Education: NC History

Shelia Wilson, an active member of the Sappony nation, visited Mr. Ayers’ 8th grade social studies classes and shared with the students the history and struggles of the Sappony tribe in North Carolina.

Place-Based Education: Science

Mr. Randall’s Odyssey of the Mind students worked together to create cars out of cardboard, CDs, skewers and a few other materials. They earned credit based on design and function. Thanks to the Village for allowing us space to test them!
