Let me begin by saying we fully recognize the amount of emails folks have sent to you on behalf of the school. The establishment of Google Groups is an effort to reduce the amount of emails you receive and streamline our process by targeted audiences.
Most of you will receive an invitation from me tomorrow (Friday), labeled “Executive Director,” to join our “The Hawbridge School” group. If you do not see this invitation in your inbox, please check your Junk or Spam folders. Many times this original invitation will end up in one of these folders. After removing it from your Spam or Junk folder, all subsequent notifications from Google Groups should arrive in your inbox. However, please check your Spam or Junk folder periodically to ensure delivery is occurring as it should.
Google Groups allows us as a school to target specific audiences through tags. For example, if a message is specifically for 5th grade, the notification will say so, and if you do not have a 5th grade student, simply delete the message.
For you, Google Groups allows you to determine how often you want to receive these notifications (as they are sent, once per day, etc.). To determine your preferred frequency, just click on the “edit” link beside of your account name on the My Groups page. You can also unsubscribe to these emails. If you are excited about this unsubscribe feature, you can remain informed by simply accessing the Group page. All messages will be archived there.
Finally, please spread the word to other parents. We want to ensure that all families receive this message in order to accomplish our goal of streamlining the communications we send and maintaining confidentiality with regard to private email addresses.
